Hey all, I have a monitor with two inputs -- one is a DVI input, one is VGA. I have a PC on the DVI that needs to stay attached to the DVI. My plan was to hook my new 2011 mini up to the secondary VGA input.

However, when I dug through my giant pile of DVI to VGA cables and adapters, I did not find one that did not four pins (two on each side) next to the long flat DVI pin. The long pin is apparently the ground, and the four pins next to it are the analog video. So, I'm guessing that the seems like the HDMI-to-DVI converter is digital only.

I am assuming it won't work to do this: Monitor -> DVI-VGA ADAPTER -> DVI CABLE -> Mini DVI to HDMI adapter -> Mini

Am I correct? Are there other options here besides a second monitor, switching the PC over to VGA (really don't want to do that), or KVM?

Thanks.
