Hey all,
I'm on macOS 12.2.1 with a 2019 MBP. As part of my job function I often have to make short desktop recordings for tutorial purposes and these are unfortunately required to have a video feed of my pretty little face in there so I can "speak to" the audience. In the past I've used relatively elaborate software like Camtasia but these days this is actually quite a bit overall for what I need. For most of my work it suffices to use the built-in screen recording features of macOS (shift-command-5) -- but I need also some kind of app for my "selfie" video feed that's usually tucked in a corner on the Desktop. The video feed for this comes into the Mac by way of an Elgato Cam Link, so it's an HDMI video source. I can almost use QuickTime Player for this as it will display the video feed from that source fine; however there's no sane way that I can locate to keep the QuickTime Player window "on top" of the window stack.
Any thoughts or suggestions? I've googled around to see what options might be out there for keeping a window "on top" and there were things like "AFloat" which seems old and probably not supported on Monterey. Perhaps there's another app I can use more suitable than QuickTime to show the video feed and keep it on top of the window stack?? Thanks!
