HDR significantly brighter in Safari than Edge / Firefox

Why does the HDR content on YouTube look so different between safari and other browsers. This is the case with Netflix / prime as well, the lights are so much brighter and colours pop out compared to other browsers.

I was planning to move to edge as my primary browser because of safari memory leak issues, but such a difference in rendering makes everything look so much better in safari for videos.

Any idea why this happens? This is obviously only on the new MacBook Pros with mini-led I presume. Right is Safari, and had to capture it using my phone since obviously a screen capture wouldn't show it.

The one on the left isn't HDR, judging from what the Youtube icon says. Can't tell why the one on the right is so much brighter even in the shadows, where it shouldn't be.

Yes I don't know why on any other browser, it doesn't switch to HDR like in safari. The shadows aren't, its more what my phone camera captured, it is extremely colour balanced, but the skies / lights shine compared to watching it on other browsers.

Have you clicked on the Youtube settings icon while viewing a video to see if HDR is available for the others browsers? It works for Safari and Chrome, I know, but I haven't tried Edge or Firefox.
