Hey,
I have a mac mini with no monitor attached that is used mostly as a server with remote login available.
I use to mostly for 2 things:
- A Plex media server
- To host a private website
I just recently started using it for the website and when setting it up, I created a 2nd user account for the website. So I have 2 accounts logged it at the same time, Plex & Jira(Account name).
When I 'Share Screen' from my Macbook to the Mac mini is tell me that Jira is logged in and ask if I want to log in as another user or request to view Jira's screen. Just FYI incase it is important. So it technically is seen as Jira logged in/current user.
Now the problem is, ever since creating the 2nd account I've noticed things not working as usual with the Plex server. When trans-coding a low quality file, it will tell me my server is not strong enough to trans-code, but when I log in I see the CPU usage just hovering at 20% and only after a few seconds of logging in, does it jump to 80+% and continue trans-coding.
Does OS X throttled users that arent at the forefront or something? I cant figure out whats going on here.
