I purchased a second-hand iPod nano (7th generation) and I love it so much. Unfortunately, the headphone jack is dented inwards. I don't know how to bend the aluminium back.

What is a safe way to do this without damaging the unit further? I thought of inserting a 3.5mm plug and bending it outwards. Would this be a good idea? Thanks.

Does 3.5mm currently fit? I think bending it back would be hard to achieve with a normal 3.5mm plug, you also run the risk of it snapping off and getting stuck in there. Maybe try and find something metal that's of one single piece of material, but do not stick it in too far or you will damage the connector. Try and only work the aluminium case.
