So i just bought a pair of bose sound true ultra headphones. All the buttons on the control switch work. So when I'm listening to music I can pause my music by clicking the middle button, the same middle button also answers incoming calls. For some reason it'll let me pause music, but won't work to answer phone calls. I tried it on someone elses iPhone and it worked just fine. Any ideas what is causing this? I tried cleaning out the jack with a q tip and nothing...

Probably not a good idea to use a Q-Tip as the cotton can make it worse. Try cleaning out the headphone jack with a plastic toothpick or maybe even use a couple of short blasts from a can of compressed air. Hold the can at least 6" away from the jack.

tried both and nothing. unless theres something really wedged in there. Nothing i can see with a flashlight. I can barely feel something all the way in but i can't tell if thats part of the phone or if its part of the jack
