Is it just mine, or are the 3g iPhone headphone jacks too short to accommodate normal 3.5mm headphone plugs? I tried to use my Sennheisers and a friends shures, and they both "bottom out" without going all the way in, and don't make a connection. I don't have the OEM earbuds with me for comparison.

Headphone jack, too shallow?

Considering the OEM headset is longer than regular stereo headsets, it is more likely that you aren't seating them correctly.
