Hi all, just a quick question, on my iPhone whenever I am listening to headphones or have my iPhone connected to a speaker system I get a headphone warning notification that tells me to turn the volume down.

Here in the UK due to regulation we can’t turn this option off, however, this is a pain when playing music through a PA system as mid song you get a notification noise, I have tried putting my phone on silence or switching on do not disturb but it still does it.

I am just wondering if this notification still happens on the iPad? As I don’t see any options for it in settings on the iPad and Apple only refer to the iPhone, iPod and Apple Watch for this feature on their website.

Thanks

Happens to me when connected via Bluetooth speaker. It’s quite annoying as the phone should be able to distinguish between earphones and speakers.

I'm not sure if it helps (although the help text says it might), if its bluetooth, in the bluetooth menu you can set the device type, e.g. Speaker
