I searched for thread, but couldn't find much on this topic.

When are more third party headphones made especially for the iPhone coming out? I know apple has a pair, but they don't have a button, and I know shure makes an adapter, but I don't want to the long cord.

So are there any sweet headphones coming out designed and made for the iPhone with the a mic and push button capability.

Thanks!

Ultimate Ears said in an email to me that they should have a replacement cord that is iPhone compatible next month. I just wish it was today.

Not trying to spam the forums here. But 3rd time is a charm.

UltimateBuds is getting some good reviews on other parts of the forum. We'll be receiving our pair shortly and releasing an in-depth review shortly therafter.

Otherwise, you can bet the major manufacturers have products in the works now, for release in the near future.

I bought a pair of these http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000SSSUG0/105-3795642-7211625

(Rivet Stereo Headset - iPhone Compatible, in ear) for $30. So far I'm pretty pleased -- they may not be "as good as" sets costing $100 - $400, but they get the job done for me.

The mic works fine, and the button allows for both answering the phone and pause/play/skip for iPod functions.

Definitely go out and buy a pair of JVC marshmallow headphones (circuit city online for 15.99) and then watch the iphone DIY earbuds video on engadget.

I've never soldered before, but was able to do this quite easily. The result is spectacular. The JVCs are a breeze to take apart and the end result looks perfect.
