I have been using the logitech clear chat usb headset for playing call of duty 4 and chatting in teamspeak but have had some significant issues. While in teamspeak I will randomly start sounding like an "alien" according to the people I am talking to. My voice gets slow and electronic sounding. The only way I have discovered to solve this is by restarting the program.

The other issue is in game, the volume of the mic is inconsistent, sometimes i am too quiet or cannot be heard at all despite my attempts to turn input volume up in game as well as in system preferences, switch inputs unplug and plug back in the headset..etc..
I have discovered that in system preferences you can visibly see that no matter what volume the input is on there is a constant interference going on that causes the sound bars to always be about half way and any sound i create by speaking only makes the bars go up by another one or two. I cannot tell if this is a hardware issue or a mac issue.

Another final issue is when i am running cod4 and "minimize" it to go to my desktop and look at team speak or xfire or whatever else I am switching back and forth between the sound in the headset gets choppy or cuts out almost entirely and the only way to fix it is to unplug it and plug it back into the usb port.

Soooo any ideas as to what I can do to solve any of these issues? New headset? Buy a pc? lol.
Has anyone out there had these issues??
Thanks
