Having installed IOS 11 GM I am just confused as to how much health data I actually have.

In both IOS 10 and 11 the iCloud backup says there is 5.25 GB of data but in IOS 10 the next backup size was always around 1.9 GB and IOS 11 is saying its only 354 MB. Health data is the only major thing that changes regularly on a data basis ( > 2 yrs  Watch with 2 x 1 hr activities daily ) so intrigued why the backup size has dropped so much.

I have also enabled storing my health data in iCloud and that is currently showing the amount of data stored as 41.8 MB

That is a huge difference to the 5.25 GB of data reported under iCloud backup so it makes me wonder is all my health data being stored in iCloud?

Does anyone have any insight as to what is dappling here please?

Mine went from 400MB to 50MB. Maybe being in the cloud only saves the data and not the entie health library. I will be finding out what happens when I set my 8Plus as new next week.

Would be interested in knowing how you get on please.

I deleted my existing iCloud backup and started a new one and now my iCloud backup is showing only 407 KB compared to 5.25 GB previously !!

and Health data stored in iCloud is showing as 639.5 MB

So i'm wondering if health data is no longer backed up to iCloud if you have enabled the store health data in iCloud option.

Throughly confused as to what is going on here and just want to be sure my 2+ yrs of health data is secure.

Well you should make sure you have an iTunes encrypted backup. That is the most secure way to backup your health data. As to health not being in the iCloud backup, I’m pretty sure you are correct. My backup went from 800MB to 200MB.
