iPads have the motion processor M7, M8, M9 etc. Big song and dance about it but I never found anything on an iPad that actually uses it.

If Health is finally installed that would be awesome!

thanks:)

True, I only think that Hi Siri and Touch ID is stored with the M-processor as well battery too.
Especially the iPad Air with M7 I wonder what it does. As I know the iPad Air 2 has NFC, but have no idea what it is used for.

Just seems to waste to have this awesome processor that counts steps but is never used!

I had a Nexus 4, Nexus 7 and LG watch before and google fit worked across all of them. Shame Apple doesn't allow an iPad to be used as a source for steps and merge they intelligently in the cloud across all devices!

Now that Health and Activity are synced/backed up via iCloud there's really no reason not to. I would love to view and manage that data on my iPad's screen as opposed to only my phone. Send feedback! I did. :)

You can't stick an iPad in your pocket, therefore it would not be able to count steps and would be virtually useless. The only reason I foresee the need of a health app on the iPad is for viewing, but the health app is so basic/weak right now that not even that seems needed. There is nothing much that the health app does right now, if anything iOS 10 made it weaker.

Health/Activity has also synced to iCloud. It's just now you can segregate it to restore the data only instead of a full backup. While I would LOVE an iPad app for viewing/editing unfortunately it is NOT likely to happen until at least iOS 12, if then.

Oh yeah, for sure. I always send feedback this time of year on what I didn't see in this year's software release, in the hopes it'll make it in for next year. Hopefully someday!
