Hello Ladies and Gentlemen,
New iPhone user here. I'm finding that the Health app falsely reports a lot of steps and miles when I'm not actually walking. So, this morning, for example, I apparently "walked" about 1 mile ... while I was substantially stationary and merely playing with the phone's settings. I see this kind of thing happening every day. I'm wondering just what it thinks are all these thousands of steps. Is it picking up tiny movements from my pulse while it's in my hands or something?
On the other hand, when I actually do take walks, I find that it reports something that is at least plausible (still seems a little high, but at least it's not completely crazy).
Because of all the weirdness, I don't feel much trust in it.
So, what's up with all the false steps, and how do I trust it or interpret it's results when I'm actually walking?
Thank you.
