I recently found that there is a problem with the Intel i9 and heat in (at least) the Macbook Pro 16,1.

I searched the Internet and I find a lot of articles talking about it, but I wonder if there is a way to mitigate this -- ie: opening the case, applying some thermal treatment or whatever.

I use Macs Fan Control and simply put it on "full blast" to prevent more damage.

It looks like some folks are opting for thermal paste, as per this video OVERHEATING MacBook Pro! Can We Fix It??

Thanks!

The 16" Macbook Pro fixed the issues that the 15" model had. It has a much more robust cooling system. I used one for two years without ever doing anything to the cooling system. To be clear, neither of them over heated. They, like every computer, would simply throttle the CPU performance. That video has an alarmist click bait title.

Forie; are you chasing an IDEA or a Problem? Please post your Normal operating Temp and Fan speed (Macs Fan Control) with the MAC open and then closed. If you are having a heat problem it could be something a simple as the air intake and exhaust are clogged and that can be cleaned with a can of compressed air. (make sure the MAC is OFF and your not spraying the air so close that your getting condensation (water) on or inside).
