Hi there,

Is it normal to have a heat issue in my 15.4" Macbook Pro Intel Core Duo 2.0 Ghz ? I feel it sometimes on the metal based at the bottom of my LCD screen and on the left metal speaker-grilled where I normally lay my left hand n it.

Should I just leave it ? or is there any way ?

MacBook Pros running hot isn't anything new. Mine runs about 140-170 (F) depending on the apps running. The hottest it has ever gotten is about 180 (F).

If you are concerned, I'd run some kind of stats application to see how hot it's running under normal usage.

if your macbook pro is warm i would think about turning it off and putting it in the fridge for at least half an hour until it cools again. the reason for this is that if it gets too hot it may burn and set fire to your trousers, espcially if you have oil on them. just be careful.

I really wouldn't recommend this kind of advice. I imagine there would be condensation on and inside the laptop.

Moisture + Electronics = Bad

Rereading the above post, however, it really does seem sarcastic.
