I got my MBA in March. It was a silent and nice machine. I enjoyed to work with it^^ But in the last few weeks the fan started to run with 6500 rps, just after 10 min of surfing or using iTunes.

I got really annoyed by that, and brought it to "alpha computer systems" at my place. They couldn't tell me what the problem is, but they replaced the whole logicboard (ok, there is not much more to replace :D). Now it seems to run as silent as before. Sure, some applications or processes make the fan run fast, but I had this maximum fan speed nearly all the time.

So, let's see what happens in a few weeks.

EDIT: I need help! I just realised, that I cannot use my speaker or headphones. Using the Volume/Mute-Keys ends up in this picture:

What's the problem here?

Get the logic board replaced, they must have replaced it with one with a screwed up sound chip. OR They did not connect the speakers up, does it happen with headphones?

If No - Solution 1
If yes - Solution 2
Does it do the boot chime?
