My iPhone 11 running iOS 14.7.1 overheat while charging, I’m using Apple’s 20w charger.

Is there anyone else facing the same issue and tell me how to prevent my iPhone from overheating while charging.

It’ll happen regardless because all charging to a degree is inefficient. That’s why it heats up, you can negate that by keeping the battery between 50-80.

Is it safe to use fast charger for battery health if i maintain 40 to 80% battery percentage

How do you define overheating? Do you get the ios message? Or does it „only“ feel overheated.

as long as you don’t charge it under the sun or other hot places the 20W charger shouldn’t do harm

Mine doesn't do this if I use a 5W charger (the old style Apple one). It does get really hot if I'm on a phone call, esp near the top/camera.

Mine gets hot too on wireless charger, 18watts. It’s completely cold on base 5w apple charger, which is what I use. Charge every night anyway so the time it takes isn’t a problem
