Heating

Hi, im looking at buying my first mac, a black macbook to be exact. Ive been reading a lot about it and a major complaint I've found is the heating and fan. Is the heat generated really that bad? Thanks for your help

Not really. Any problems they had have pretty much been fixed by now. I have a black MacBook, and while it gets hot while running at 100% for extended periods, its still useable.
