Hi,
I have some issues with HEIC and my photo workflow and wondering if anyone else has seen this.
Workflow:
Photos I edited in the Photos app I download once a month for backup on my PC via the iCloud.com website.
Now with HEIC I have the choice of "Unmodified Original"(HEIC) which is basically with no edits or "Most Compatible" with the edits I made.
However some jpg I noted do not have the resolution of 4032x3024 which is the native 12MP pixel count; no these are not the cropped pictures and go as low as 2048px long side.
See attached pictures for example, taken today. The HEIC I uploaded to Google Photos has the full native resolution but the jpg is lower res and is not as detailed (Screenshot adds a bit more compression). Note I did not even edit the picture. Note2: Some jpg's are higher resolution.

[doublepost=1507063127][/doublepost]the amazing thing is:
- if I take the exact same picture and do "ViewExif" on the iphone (it is an app) it shows the right resolution.
- if I "Save to file" the picture to google drive it saves the jpg in full resolution
- if I edit the picture and do the above it saves the edited jpg in full resolution
seems to be an icloud.com issue. Will test some more but I am not having Apple f. up my full resolution photos in years to come (yes I can always do download original but I edit in the photos up my pictures 95% of the time)
