Hi,
Im on the GM of iOS 11 using a 6s, but dont see the format options to under Settings, Camera?
Is this something only for Iphone 7 and up?

Can someone please advise?

Maybe it dosent work if iCloud photos is on?

Thanks

The 6S does not support HEVC/HEIF encoding. That requires an A10 or later processor, so iPhone 7 or 2017 iPad Pro or later.
The 6S can decode these new formats, so the 6S will be able to view these new image formats.

Shame HEIC isn't supported. I get why HEVC isn't supported as it would kill the battery, but since photos are still images rather than video it shouldn't hit the battery too much. Seems cynical when the 2017 iPad, 6s and SE (all currently still on sale) and powerhouse that is the 1st generation iPad Pro can't use it...
