I ordered my Iphone X without seeing the 8+ in the store and wow.. now I did come from a 6+ but WOW did the 8+ feel very uncomfortable in my hands anyone get that same feeling? maybe i'm just used to the size of the X now but the welcome change to something a little smaller feels good.. Now if the X did not come with the increase in screen height it would of been a issue.

I went from a 6 + to a 7 to a Note 8. If size was the only factor I would take the 7 in a heartbeat. After using these bigger phones I can appreciate the 7 size Tbh. With the chins of the 6 plus I would take the note 8 over the plus varients

Well I've had my Iphone X for about almost a month now I'm happy with the size so far

Love the 8+. No problems with the weight or size. Using reachability and quick selection of left/right keyboard makes it easy to use one handed. I stood in store and compared the screens between the 8+ and the X and to be honest, there wasn't a wow factor to the X (for me). In fact, I felt the 8+ screen had better white point at various angles. If they bring out an X plus but with lcd I'd jump at it. Apples LCD screens are top notch.

The thing I also find with the plus is you can hold it without obscuring the content. Bezeless screens etc look great but if you are reading/watch stuff while holding the phone (especially one handed) your thumb needs to be planted across a good 10mm of the screen or more to have a secure hold. As such, the bezels are a zone you can hold without getting in the way of what you're watch etc.

You’ve had a month to adapt. If you used an iPhone 4 for a month, you would find iPhone X to be uncomfortably big too.

People can adapt to the smaller display of the iPhone X or the larger keyboard of the Plus. It just takes time.

I agree 100% with this. Our mind adapts to the sizes with a little use. Think about how excited we were when the original iPhone came out with that “perfect” screen and incredible experience. Then retina on the 4 released and how incredible THAT screen was and how when it was ours we couldn’t see ourselves using anything else. Then we adapted to the oddly Long shape of the 5.

We’ve had 4 years with 6/6s/7/8 models and their plus variants. Now pick up those previous perfect screens we loved so much, and the typical sentiment is how we typed on such tiny keyboards and viewed content on such small screens.

The iPhone 8+ feels large in your hands, because the iPhone X is much slimmer and more comfortable to hold all together With The new form factor. Even for large hands, the iPhone 8 Plus can be unwieldy to use and hold for an extended period amount of time. One handed use, the iPhone X is much easier altogether.

My 8 plus isn’t as comfortable as my s8+, but I like it far better than my wife’s smaller feeling X. You can’t go wrong with any of them.

I still have my 6+ but it just feels like the 8+ is a little bigger

My 6 Plus died the night before the 8s were released and I was on call at the time so had no choice but to buy a new 8 Plus that Friday morning. The 8 Plus is a fantastic phone but when I stopped by Verizon the next Friday just to check out the X on release day, it was exactly what I had been looking for. I'd buy another X tomorrow without hesitation if mine took a toilet dive or got run over by a car.

Now the question is how many of us in a year will say the X is too small and that the Xs plus is the right size and nothing else will do.

When I first held the iPhone X, I immediately thought to myself that It did feel much smaller than I anticipated inside my hand. And personally, I have really grown fond of the larger displays with the iPhone Plus models over the years. So I personally really do look forward to the 6.5 rumored iPhone X in 2018. I think it will have a more expensive price tag, but many would likely be willing to pay for that for larger display and I'm sure Apple will add more exclusive features to the larger model as well.
