Any official word on a Mac version?

I found some old interviews with Bill Roper that mentioned their interest in the Mac gaming community, but nothing recent.

I was really looking forward to this game, but I have no interest in running it on Windows...

Unfortunately, it's a no. I mailed Flagship a while back, and they replied stating they currently have no plans for a Mac version. Quite disappointing, considering the background of most of the developers.

It's a shame really, this is one game that I have been looking forward to. I'm hoping to pick up an 20" iMac soon, may have to bootcamp it for this....

My friends been playing the beta for the past couple of days.

Seems pretty underwhelming to be honest. Looks like it could of been promising but, meh...the battles are pretty yawn-worthy.

Really? Oh, that's a shame. Looks like I'll be playing Diablo2 a while longer....

Lol, when i saw this thread title i thought it was one of the Leopard Meet-up threads. I thought 'I don't know of an Apple store in Hellgate...' :)

You'd think that with the Intel transition and Mac sales off the charts, they would at least announce plans for a future version. A lot of people were expecting a PC/Mac hybrid!

LOL. :)

Looks like the game was released today...

Anybody playing? Thoughts? How does it run on your hardware?

i played the demo today using Boot Camp windows xp home. worked fine no errors, but like i said Boot Camp so u need a copy of windows to play the game. Iam runnin it on a Mac Book Pro with Mac OSX 10.4, no leopard. Im going to buy the full game tomorrow to give it a full run and see if it will work completely.

I've put a good number of hours into it. The gameplay (still quite Diablo-like) is addictive but indeed pretty repetitive and boring. The graphics aren't bad but not great. They're also very buggy — anything other than "basic" shadows totally bugs out and makes it hard to see anything. Framerate is terrible relative to how it looks (fine most of the time if I use medium-high settings, still totally unplayable in some rare rooms). Some creatures will jump at you and then suddenly be back where they were standing before. Overall it has the feeling of a buggy MMORPG, if you ask me. Maybe after a handful of updates it will be better.

Playing on XP SP2, no idea what it would be like with DX10 and Vista (considering I don't have DX10 hardware).
