ohhh GOD finally i did the hold donw the power button and home but it didnt jail brake :/

Here's how to JB you iphone 3G with 4.0 firmware using pwnagetool on a Mac.
Then once JB just install ultrasnow from cydia to unlock it.

He bumps up his thread every 5-6 minutes if he didnt get a response yet.
Like everyone is supposed to run and help him like we're tech support for Apple
only advice is to restore your iDevice using the Apple stock OS and stick with it!! there are plenty of websites offering tutorials and videos on "how do I jailbreak my iDevice"...it is that simple...really...honestly...
By-the-way it is JailBREAKING (brakes are things used for slowing a vehicle down!), being pedantic...sorry!!
