On the inside? No that’s not normal. I’ve had screens replaced on a couple MacBooks and have never seen anything like that. Have them replace it again, if they refuse, escalate with Apple directly. I had another issue that a repair center wouldn’t fix and escalated to Apple via phone and email. Was resolved pretty quickly after that.

I don't think I would have accepted that as a finished repair, but I understand, things happen...
What did the staff at the Apple store tell you when you showed that to them?

I didn’t show them they left my machine without an operating system so they took 2hrs to get that done.

Basically when I picked up the computer, it wasn’t revoted operating system so they took him two hours to install that and then when I took it home, I turned the computer on over the weekend. I noticed the paddle gap that has dust and I could easily fit a piece of paper.

Take plenty of pictures, call Apple, schedule an appointment/ship to repair, and have them re-do the screen replacement. That is not acceptable work.

Contact the repair center right away. Dont let them drag their feet, contact Apple right away if you feel like they're trying to get out of doing the repair correctly. Waiting too long will work against you.

This repair was done in the store and the store has no appointments unless I take it to a different Apple Store one hour away but I really hope they could mail me the device back

I would email or show up without an appointment and explain the situation. If they're not willing to work with you, than I would contact Apple directly right away. The longer you wait, the less likely you'll get the outcome you want.

My M1 Max MBP actually has the same gap between the glass and that rubber strip. It was probably the first thing I noticed after dust got in that gap when I got it in March 2022, but I waited 3 months for it so I've decided to live with it.

Update they didn’t fix my issue even through the store sent it out and put notes of the issue they saw and on top of that they scratched my usb c port.

Bad service from the repair center not the store

I have an update I took it to the Apple Store and they did not want to repair it so I called AppleCare again and they’re sending me a box of mailing out. This is ridiculous.

They even called the manager from the store I sent it out from he recommended. I said it off Service so I took it to the local Apple Store instead of the Apple Store number two I dropped it off and And didn’t get good service.

There is an update on this issue. They charged me $100 for the damages. They caused since I called a senior advisor. They’re gonna replace the entire machine with the m3 max 1TB 64 gB ram
