HELP!!! 27' iMac crashes, won't restart unless power is unplugged

Hi there. New to the forum, I've searched everywhere and I can't seem to find the answer to why my iMac crashes. There seems to be no specific trigger, it will just shut itself down and won't turn on unless the power is unplugged for a minute and then plugged back in.

I've run virus scans, I've done a full fresh install of El Capitan, run diagnostics on the HDD and I cannot find any obvious problems. I have looked through Console after crashes and I cannot understand it very well but there doesn't seem to be any trends from one crash to the next. See below for the latest console messages. This is a snapshot from the last minute before it crashed, you can see that the system had been idle for 2 hours.

Any help would be much appreciated.

You don't have a virus since there are none in the wild that can infect a Mac. By unplugging your iMac for a minute or so and then plugging it back in resets the SMC (System Management Controller) which is why it probably then starts up. Try starting your iMac in safe mode by rebooting and holding down the shift key as soon as you hear the POST chime. Let us know if it runs in safe mode without crashing. If it crashes in safe mode you might have a defective power supply or bad memory.
