I have an U.S./ATT 3GS with the latest firmware JB'ed/unlocked with blackra1n. I am currently traveling outside of the U.S. with a non-ATT SIM and the phone will not connect to the internet via 3G or EDGE. The only way I can connect to the net is with Wifi.

The phone works fine for making calls, but I can't connect to the internet even after setting the APN and reboot according to the specific instructions of the carrier. I even had someone from the cell carrier verified the settings in person and it still doesn't work.

Is there something I am missing in order for the 3GS with blackra1n to work with non-ATT SIM for 3G/EDGE internet?

Just FYI, the carrier is Taiwan Mobile and I set the APN with "internet" per their instruction.

TIA!

nevermind. Did a search on another forum and it turns out I had EDGE turned off in SBSettings and didn't realize it because I didn't have the toggle on.
So if anyone else is having the same problem, check your SBSettings.
