I am trying to find an iPod 4G on eBay and I am getting confused. I collect iPods and look for them with their boxes. The 4G iPod, black and white, from what I have seen, came in a box with the colored background with black silhouette dancers. The iPod 4G Photo came with a box that had a close up picture of the iPods screen with pictures on it. But I have seen some for sale with solid black boxes with silver lettering saying "iPod, xxGB, Mac+PC". Are these legit boxes?

Ipod 4th generation

Hi,
I'm a little confused by your question...
When you say 4G Ipod white and black, do you mean white and U2 version?

To the best of my knowledge the 4G Ipod came in 4 different boxes, and all of them had the shape of a cube! The original version was the colored one with the dancers, the photo was the one with the Ipod window and photos, the U2 of course with pictures of the band, and the fourth and newest one is as you describe: black with silver text...

Always ask the seller for the serial number if you're not sure

What I mean by black and white is the screen. The original 4G had a monochrome screen, before the iPod photo came out. Then they switched to iPod Color. I was just a little confused as to which ones came in what boxes. Some eBay sellers mismatch what they have.
