Hi

Without any warning, an alert has appeared on my screen:'Bluetooth audio failed.' and a button to click that says 'Stop using headset'

The dialogue box is frozen, the button does not work. It site there in the middle of the screen - and on top of all other applications. Image of it here: no it's not, cannot upload it, (the screen capture may or may not be attached).

I have tried restarting, shutting down, but it just won't move. The cursor turns into the spinning circle when over the box.

Has anyone an idea to help me get rid of it??

Here's hoping.

Dave

What Mac and Mac OS X version do you use (be as exact as you can) and do you have Bluetooth turned on or off?

Have a look at Activity Monitor (Applications > Utilities) and select Show All Processes and sort by Name to see what the culprit may be.

image below uses sorting by CPU as an example

Can you see any Bluetooth in name there?

Do you even have a headset?

Even though some might get annoyed of reading this, the thread title guy strikes again:

A more descriptive and precise thread title will help cater to the right audience and get you more responses.
To edit your thread title, just click on the

Have you also taken a look at MRoogle, since that question may have been asked several times?

Frozen Alert

MAC is:
Mac OS X, version 10.6.4
Processor: 3.06 GHz Intel Core Duo
Memory: 4 GB 1067 MHz RAM

Bluetooth is on
It is Discoverable

I do not have a headset

Went into utilities and force quit the Bluetooth application. It closed, and then I said 'yes' to report. Then it froze again.

Both the original alert, and now the Problem Report has as well.

What do I do now?
