Help a JBing Noob Out..

I have some questions regarding some of the jailbreaking apps, how they function and how to set up.

1. Themes - Is there a way to use a theme without using the custom icons? What I'm looking for is a way to change the background while keeping the original icons.

2. Cycorder- There must be a way to get the videos off the iphone, I haven't figured it out. Can someone explain the process of getting the videos off the phone?

3. Open SSh- What is it? What is it used for and how do i set it up?

4. Tethering- What is the best app for this and how do I set it up?

If anyone can explain to me any or all of these questions I will be forever grateful..

Yes. You just download winteboard, and select "use userbackground". This changes the background to the one you select for your lock screen. If you want to use a different one for your lock screen and home screen, you can just SSH your wallpaper to your iphone, and make a theme, but only for the wallpaper.

You SSH them off. I think it's under mobile --> Media --> Videos..if you explore a little you'll find the location...can't remember it off the top of my head.

3. Open SSh- What is it? What is it used for and how do i set it up?

It's basically wirelessly connecting your iPhone to your computer to transfer files between the two.

For macs, iphonemobile/Netshare

For PCs, Netshare. There's a guide on a youtube. You can still "aquire" Netshare from some sites...
