im new to mac... i bought a used mac.. i want to reinstall the os and change everything to mine... and erase all their administrator names.. how do i do that???

same as formating the hd.. if thats what they call it also.. but help.

What kind of Mac and what OS? I am going to assume you have an OS X install CD. Insert this CD and then click on Install and reboot. Everthing else should be self explanatory.

in case youve never done this, to format the drive you are going to have to open disk utility from the cd and then select the hard drive you want to format and click erase, after it is done formating you can then close disk utility and move on with the install

You could also create an account for yourself and then delete all the other accounts. It'll take 5 mintues.

i would like to know this then..

to create an account go into system preferences, which you can find in your dock or applications folder, from there go to the user accounts pane and proceed to make your own account, if you are going to delete the other accounts make sure yours is an admin account. if you have any other questions just post em
