Help Activating PHone without SIM

I have an 16 gig Iphone 3g 2.2.1 BB:2.30.03 that i just restored to factory settings, and now its telling me to insert a valid sim to activate the phone. I have T-mobile so i do not have a valid AT&T sim card, so how do i get into the phone without a sim?

Edit - i also have an 8gig Iphone 3g 2.2 BB:2.28.00 that im currently using while i wait on the unlocking of the new firmware so i can switch to my 16 gig :-D
