Help: AnyTrans users only: Have you successfully used or tried the MERGE function of AnyTrans?

PS: I've used iMazing, iFunBox, iExplorer and many more and still use them.

This is a unique feature they claim to offer and I need this time.

So only post if you have used or know someone has used AnyTrans.

----------------------------

How long have you used AnyTrans?

Have you or anyone seen the usage of their MERGE function?

---------------------------

Has anyone been able to get successful merges for any of these items that their merge supports?

They claim to do it and support the following:

[doublepost=1550755022][/doublepost]I was looking for posts that mentioned AnyTrans to ask if you folks have tried AnyTrans in such ways? Do respond. Thanks.

hi

so i spilled water on my old macbook air, and it's no longer working. i just got a new mac book pro and i want to sync my iPhone to the new iTunes without erasing all the music.

i tried using the app AnyTrans, but I can't seem to get it to work. I'm not sure what else I can do but I'm sure someone knows how I could get new music on my iTunes and phone without having to erase all of my music content.

Thanks!!
Kate

iPhone 8 Plus on iOS 11 and using iTunes 12.7

I've got duplicate ringtones here I'm trying to delete:

..Image

However, they are not showing in the Tones section of iTunes, nor in my iTunes library Folder, no matter how much syncing I do. In addition, I've got the free trial of AnyTrans, and whenever I delete the duplicates within AnyTrans, they just pop back in when I click refresh. No matter what I do, I can't get them off the phone.

Help!

I have noticed that it was AnyTrans that I used to delete the duplicate ringtones but like I said, not only did I have a copy of the tones in “iTunes_Control/Ringtones” but I also had a copy in a totally different folder. That probably why they keep reappearing for you after you delete them as there a copy in another folder, I can’t remember which other folder and it’s location the other ringtones was in as it was 3 months ago I had this issue. I will keep looking into it though

Sounds like bad info all around from phone support.

iOS 12 appears to need 12.8 iTunes (all new iOS releases are always "latest version of iTunes" in Apple support pages), but that should be able to run on Yosemite, as long as 10.10.5.

As BugeyeSTI mentioned, needed to let iTunes download some update/support files (get a popup with a message along the lines of "do not recognize device, need to update software"). After that, all went well.

And should be able to go back to previous iOS:

And: can look into software like AnyTrans, iMazing as iTunes replacements. Yes, they cost money, but have demo versions that can be run to see if would work as iTunes replacement.

I have been using iMazing and really like it, but I've also heard about Anytrans. Can anyone that have extensively used both recommend which one is better overall?
