I ordered a $1000 item on the Apple store app then the next day the order was cancelled without a single notice from Apple. An hour ago I received the refund back to my credit store balance but was not able to use it. The message is ''Your account balance has been disabled. Please call 1‑800‑MY‑APPLE for help.''

I called, I texted, I went through a bunch of advisors, agents and even the supervisors/senior support agents but NONE of them seemed to be aware of this issue even when there were lots of people been talking about it. I decided just to give up after spending 6+ hours on the phone being transferred back and forth between useless departments.

Any suggestions, please?

Oh dear ! Apple’s solution is “your credit is now theirs, bitch!” Sorry to say that but I had and having the same issue.
Why had and having the same issue ?
My First Apple ID had a $15 refund in 2020 to my apple account balance and got immediately disable and resulted I am unable to pay any of the subscriptions since apple account balance will be used out first before other payment Methods can be used.

After 2 months of calling texting and calling to Tier 2, yes you heard me right 2 months ! No solution, they just transferred me over and over and promised no worries…. Long story short I Gave up as they hope you do.

I got a new Apple ID, didn’t put any apple store credit or apple gift card on it for over 1 year and no issues, until I stupidly did yesterday because an order needs updated payment method, so I redeem $100 Apple gift card to Apple account balance. Then next day, guess what ? My apple account balance is disabled …..

So I am really pissed now for losing $180, but wow, you will loose all $1500!
