What's up people? I have a question.

I'm using the Mountain Lion and Apple TV 3. Is there a way that I can play movies on my Macbook on the TV without using mirroring?

I mean I just want the movie to be on the TV screen, but I want to multi task (browsing, playing games, etc..).

* I know Apple TV can do this with movies on iTunes, but I don't want to convert a movie to iTunes every time I want to watch (Also takes disk space).

Any solutions? Thanks in advance.

Yep, not too tough to do.
Well first it needs to be in iTunes, then you can choose the Airplay logo when it starts playing and send it over to your AppleTV. That's about the only way I can think of doing what you want at the moment.

* Well then I would have a look at Airfoil and Airflicks for this. Although it does cost some money...

Actually it's called AirFlick and seems to be freeware. I guess the video quality isn't great though. Try and see what happens.
