I live in the Netherlands, but wanna buy from a UK site or in UK because that's a lot cheaper.

I mostly want an iMac 24'' 2.8, but will probably also order an iPod Classic when I'm buying anyway. Less chipping costs.

Maybe I travel to the UK with my dad and buy one there, or maybe I order it on Cancom UK.

1. My mom works at a school and can probably get the extra discount, but I can't get that when I buy it with my dad? I can't get the discount on the Cancom site?

2. Also, what things to I have to change when I buy an UK product?
- A Other power cable?
- B Does UK has QWERTY keyboards?
- C Is there a difference in the wireless mouses?
- D Any other stuff?

3. Does anyone just know what their shipping costs are?

4. Do you have to pay money for taking it out of the country legally?

This are my questions, I hope anyone can help me. Thanks for reading anyway.

2.C. Wireless is laser and it's better. Wired is like a toy and it's optical.
2.D. Wait for new models.

3. I'm not sure but I think they'll add at least 100£ becouse it costs quite much to send it to other country.

4. I'm quite sure that you'll have to pay taxes (here in Finland you have to) and it'd cost same as it cost in NL.

And who pays that if it doesn't come or it's damaged while on it's way? Buy it from your country, I was thinking this same idea, but talked with my dad and he told me few stories about ordering from other country.

Wait for new ones and buy it from NL.

UK? Cheaper? Dude, I'm in the UK, and you'd be much better buying the stuff you want from somewhere like the US. Seriously, the $/£ exchange rate is NOT in the UK's favor at the moment.

yeah ... but the Euro is really strong against the pound right now which was his point .... at the moment it'll be good buying in the UK ...

for us IN the UK it kinda sucks cos the exchange rate for both € and $ is pretty poor right now making things expensive for US ... not them :D

Yea it's good for us :D Just ordered 3 games from UK last night, all three for 65£ so about 70€. Saved 140€ becouse here single game costs ~70€.

I hope it comes down even more

2.8 Ghz iMac = £1125/$1799

£1125 into USD is $1642, even including our higher tax.

In short its far cheaper to buy in the UK at the moment for most Apple products.

The exchange rate is buggered, but Apple havent updated the price yet to reflect the new exchange rate which is why it is so much cheaper.

I heard good things about the site. And how about going there (to the UK)?

Thanks all for responses!

- Flying Dutchman, ik heb je even een pm gestuurd.

Going there should be OK, only thing is, where you put it during the flight?
