Help - Calendar fine on iCloud and iPhone 4s, but NOT ICAL???

Hello all,

I am new to MacRumors forums and hope that someone can help me. I just upgraded to my iPhone 4s today and am attempting to use iCloud to sync my contacts, calendar, etc. Everything looks good on my new iPhone and within iCloud regarding my calendar; however, after I synced via iTunes, I now notice on my standalone iMac, that within iCal, none of my calendar items are reflected which are all now sitting at iCloud and on my iPhone 4s...I'm guessing this is something simple, but would really appreciate your help on this as I need my calendars synced on at iCloud, my iPhone, AND my iMac. Found my own answer and posting here for others...

Well, I kind of feel like an idiot - I figured out this answer rather easily on my own...I went back into the Preferences in ICal on my iMac, and saw that I could add and account - then I selected the type of account as "iCloud", and then entered my user id & pw & then all of my calendar items appeared.

One small follow up question - how do I get rid of the duplicate calendar events that I'm seeing on my computer now? It's not every calendar item - just the ones that were set created with the "On My Mac" calendars. Thanks again!

first thing to try is the Refresh button.
the next thing is to go into your System Preferences, click on iCloud, and sign out. Then sign back in again.
When you sign out it will say it will delete the calendar and contacts on your Mac (this is OK because they are in iCloud - check at icloud.com if you want to confirm).
When you sign back in, tell iCloud to manage your contacts and calendars.

I had to follow those steps because when I first set up iCloud on my Mac, I didn't choose to manage contacts and calendars. Then I later enabled iCloud for contacts and calendars and saw duplicates on my Mac. I had duplicates in my contacts instead of my calendar, but I'm pretty sure it was the same issue (the iCloud versions duplicate the On My Mac versions).
