Hi,

I'm not sure exactly what is going on here and could use some help.

My son has 2 devices with his apple id - an ipad mini and an iPhone 6s+ both on iOS 12. The ipad mini has been his for a while and was simply updated to iOS 12 last week. The 6s+ is a recent upgrade - it was my wife's old phone, and so we restored it from his old 6+ backup, which had also been upgraded to iOS 12. We have family sharing turned on, and "ask to buy" is turned on.

Over the weekend he asked to have pubg mobile installed on his ipad, so I went ahead and allowed the download, and it installed fine. Then he asked me to install it on his iPhone, but the cloud icon was grayed out. As I looked around, it seems that all the 17+ rated apps are grayed out. I recall messing around with the Screen Time options on his 6+ after he upgraded to iOS 12 (but before the 6s+ switch), so I took a look at the screen time settings on the old 6+ and saw that some restrictions were still turned on (12+ apps!!). Thinking this was the problem, I removed the restrictions and turned screen time completely off on the 6+, and logged out of icloud on that phone. However, the 6s+ still can't download any 17+ apps. I've tried logging out of icloud, apple ID, & force restarting multiple times, but can't seem to get it to work. Screen time is off on all devices now, but still no dice.

Any ideas on what might be happening? I feel that it has something to do with updating the os, or switching devices while restrictions were turned on, but don't really know. Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks,
D
