I recently purchased a new to me iPad pro 2018 11". For some reason, when I connect a TV to the iPad pro using an aftermarket USB C HDMI adapter, no sound is output. Video is fine though.
The adapter is a cheap knockoff of the apple AV adapter with a USB A plug, power and 4k 30 HZ. However the adapter works fine with sound and video when connected to my 2020 MBP via HDMI.
Does the iPad pro require a special dongle, that the MacBook pro doesn't? Or is this a know iPad OS bug? Seems like other users might have problems too.
