I'm looking to change my primary email on my iPhone to a new email.

I think I know how to do this.
I say that I *think* I know how because many many years ago I deleted my primary email to add a new one
and in the process I lost my contacts, reminders, notes, calendars, etc...

So on my iPhone X with the latest iOS updated, how would I go about this?

To add new email account:
Settings > Passwords & Accounts > Add Account > Follow the prompts?
I think that's the easy part.

How do I remove my current primary email without losing my contacts, reminders, notes, calendars?

I guess I can keep it on my iPhone and just move it down in order, right?

Thanks!

I may be wrong but I thought if your old email address was in fact your Apple ID (lots of folks do it that way) and you changed, then contacts, reminders, notes, calendars, and other things would be deleted. But just changing or adding another email address shouldn't result in losing everything.

However, I understand being concerned. Keep it on your phone just to be safe.
