this could be a simple fix for an inexperienced person, so i am hoping one of you guys/gals can help point me in the right direction.

i love using the "crystal unlock slider" when i have lockinfo being used. allowing lock info to scroll and extend to the bottom. but does it bother some of you when you get to that bottom section of your phone and things are just...overlapped. yes i know, one little thing...but still something that bugs me.

so here is my question...
ho can i "edit" the side of the slider to be as THIN as the popular "crystal unlock slider", with a solid black background, ultimatly making the finger recognition register only to that small line instead......... .... ... am i making sense?

sorry, please, and thank you.

Not exactly sure what you mean, but I played around with many sliders to have the most unobtrusive one I could find for LockInfo. I ultimately just went with the Transparent Pass Lock Screen and Slider theme. Now I can see the whole screen of LockInfo. It's not like I need to know where the slide on the screen, so I don't miss having a slider at all.

I know that doesn't answer your question, but it's another alternative.

You can replace the slider graphic with as small a one as you want and you can replace the slider background graphic with a transparent one.

thank you all for your replies. its pretty complicated for me to explain the situation. changing the size of the sliders touch response than just the physical look...i might have to take a picture later in the evening, this holiday season is killing me on the retail end.

I think we understand that you want to reduce the amount of area that is "swipe sensitive" thus opening up the area to interact with LockInfo. I've thought about that myself as well, but have lined up my LockInfo sections in such a way that I don't have to work that low on the screen. I know there is code that determines the swipe area size, location, and sensitivity. I've just never worked that part of the code.

Let us know what you find...we all like to learn!

yes! yes! i am sorry if i seem a bit scatter brained, this holiday season is tossing me around. but that is exactly what i am trying to figure out.

i have started to use the "Transparent Pass Lock Screen and Slider" as you have suggested and i am content with it for the time being, although the swipe sensitive area still bothers me, as i am one of those who like to swipe from the bottom area to scroll through, considering my hand placement on the phone.

i will continue to look around for some type of answer...but thank you for your input!

You're welcome. I do believe there is a "tap to unlock" app or theme in Cydia as well. I may be mistaken, but that may make only a small area in the middle of the bottom of the screen tap sensitive to open. Might be worth a try if you can find it.

Edit: I did some digging. It appears that the tap to unlock still has a large area surrounding it that may be blocking the lockscreen behind it. Still worth playing with.

I have been looking for a solution to this as well. I was wondering if anyone found a solution.

Thanks!
