Been getting shutdowns w/panics a few minutes after I plug my MacBook Pro in to charge. Can anyone help diagnose? This is a clean/fresh install of macOS 12.4, so I don't think it's software related.

you seem to run the Intel Power Gadget (?) - check for /System/Library/Extensions/EnergyDriver.kext and /Library/Frameworks/IntelPowerGadget.framework and delete the file and the framework. Then restart.
There is an update for IPG - but >=Big Sur there are problems reported.

EDIT: if the above isn’t applicable, you can download and run Etrecheck (”free” is sufficient) - run the app with full disk access, it will take a Snap Shot - both the hardware and software. The Report will Not Reveal Any Personal Information. Copy and paste the full report here.

I don't run Intel Power Gadget, nor have I ever downloaded it. I'll considering using/running Etrecheck, although I'm typically hesitant to use freeware I'm not familiar with.

Have you tried booting into safe mode and seeing if you still have the problem? If you don't see it in safe mode you may try disabling/removing/updating any software that you have that may be involved with charging or power and see if that resolves it. Better Battery 2 looks like a likely candidate.

I wish Etrecheck wouldn't show "no Time Machine backup" as a major issue. I use CCC for my backups and don't really trust Time Machine considering the number of reports I've read of problems with it.

I haven't tried Safe Mode. I've had issues with Better Battery 2 causing panics on another machine, so I removed it from this particular MacBook Pro (and still had this latest panic). I don't know why it would still be showing up? It's from the Apple Mac Store.
reset the SMC and recheck.
Good idea.
