I'm using a 2015 15" MBP with macOS 10.14.

I downloaded the "Install macOS High Sierra" from the App Store to help show another forum member how it works. See thread:
https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/mojave-causing-issues.2148814/#post-26692407

When i went to delete the Install macOS High Sierra.app it did not delete completely. The "InstallESD.dmg" in the installer package is not writeable by my user admin account.

I moved the "Install macOS High Sierra" from the Trash to the Desktop open the contents and capture what I'm seeing to post in this thread:

Please help me delete "Install macOS High Sierra".

That post is ridiculous.
YOUR problem was because the OS mounted the DMG when it launched the installer. If you'd unmounted it you could have removed the installer without any problem.
I disagree. It worked for me.

My steps to delete it:
I restarted my MBP, could not delete it

I started up in safe mode, I could not delete it.

I tried using Cocktail & Onyx to force empty the trash. No success.

I tried using using sudo rm -rf ~/.Trash/*. It did not delete it.

I moved the installer from the Trash to the Desktop. Started up from an external Mojave clone. Deleted the installer from the user desktop on the internal drive. Done, installer was gone. Restarted from the internal drive.
