HELP! DVD IMPORTING?

hey
i want to watch my dvds on my mac, but i dont want the swapping of discs everytime. i tried to import my dvds (eg bruce almighty) but i can not. i tried copying it to the desktop but it wouldnt. i would really like to have my movies on my computer but how??

Use this. It'll copy the movie to your hard drive and remove the copy protection.

mactheripper seems to have worked fine my movie has imported but i have 1 problem:
the movie is not in the right format so it will not play using dvd player, what should i do or change it to?
