Help External Hdmi media Player!

Hey guys just new to this site but im after a external media player that can play through hdmi cables into my tv. in the 1tb size. Im in New Zealand so my opitions are not as big as the states. WD, seagate....... the big brands we have. I guess im asking what is the best to be able to hook up to my tv and also sync with my mac book pro

And also after a mini display port to hdmi cable. i brought one but it crapped out after a good brand that isnt crappy and cheap

Here in the US the popular media players seem to be the WDTV (Western Digital), AppleTV, Xbox360, and PS3. I have no idea how they sync or not with your macbook pro, except of course the AppleTV should work well with iTunes compatible content.

You don't have a Mac Pro and you're asking about home theater stuff. You'd probably have much better luck posting in the home theater forum instead of the mac pro forum...
