Can someone tell me where to find the app that will show the image of a disc in the Superdrive (when there is a disc actually in the drive) on a G5 iMac? I thought I had read about it on here, but could not find it with a search.

I hope that I wasn't too vague...

Thanks,

Chris

I don't think I understand.

Are you wanting to access hidden packages on a disk (like the OSX disks), because you'll be wanting Pacifist then.

Are you wanting to make a disk image of an actual disk, then try Disk Utility in the Utilities folder. :)

No, it's just a cool visual app that looks like a disc on the area of the screen that is in front of the Superdrive.

So when you put a disc in the slot, the graphic of the disc appears on the desktop.

finder > preferences

check off Show CDs, DVDs, etc.

No, this looks like the actual disc in the drive. The app makes it look like you are looking through your monitor (into the Superdrive) at your disc.

Maybe I was imagining seeing this somewhere...

Hmm, haven't heard anything that will do that...
