So as a self-proclaimed Apple/Tech expert, this is embarrassing.
I have an iPhone for work that I use with a separate Apple ID account. I added this account to my Family Network and everything. Well….apparently I never activated Find My or “accepted” family tracking on the work phone.
Of course, it’s now missing. I’ve looked fairly extensively around my house, truck, and work to no avail. I’m sure I just set it down somewhere, but just cannot find it anywhere.
This has never been a problem before. I can’t find my phone or iPad (or usually its my wife not being able to find her phone) and I just open Find My and play a sound.
I can’t do that here because apparently I never activated it on my work phone (I SWEAR I did thougo). Phone is on vibrate so calling it isn’t doing anything either. I logged into iCloud.com/find with the Apple ID used for the missing phone, but it doesn’t even show the device! WTF?
Is there any other way to play a sound or find the general location of the device? Or am I just out of luck? I don’t use any apps on that phone really besides Blackberry‘s office suite of apps (whatever they are called).
