My Mum has a early CRT iMac and although she has iTunes preloaded on it, she has problems getting around and burning disks in the right formats as the interface in those days wasn't as refined as it is now. I'd like to upgrade it, but as she is still on OS9, can anyone help in telling me which version of iTunes was the latest OS9-compatable version, and where it might still be available for download?

I'm not interested in upgrading to OSX because I know the machine only has 128Mb RAM and nowhere near enough processor or HDD grunt.

Thanks for your help :)

iTunes 2 was the last one for OS9. iTunes 3 needs a minimum of 10.1 to work.
I remember having problems with burning CDs on OS9, but I had an external burner and had to use Toast. Mine was an iMac DV400 with DVD drive, not a CD burner. What's yours?
Seems to be available here

Thanks for the link, much appreciated.

I'm not sure which iMac she has - it's a darker shade of blue than the original Bondi turquoisy blue, and has a DVD-ROM/CD-RW slot-loading drive. I'd have to check, but I'm pretty certain she has 128Mb RAM and a 10GB HDD. She's had it for between four and five years, I think.
