Help! Firewall Problem...

I have just installed the missing sync for windows mobile v2.5

For some reason I am having trouble connecting my device

One suggestion is to turn off the firewall - however when I go into the firewall settings it tells me some other firewall software is running.... but I havent installed anything!

I presume this is connected with my mobile connection problems

Any ideas what is going on?

Have you at any time installed Brickhouse, Flying Buttress, or any of the commercial firewall apps from Norton or McAfee?

What exact version of OS X are you running? (including the final version number eg. 10.4.7), you can find this by going to About this Mac in the Apple Menu.

It is possible if you really really haven't installed any firewall software that your computer has been haxxored or the system has become corrupted. If so you will need to reinstall OS X, if you want to try that first try doing an archive and install, if you do that, that will leave all of your applications intact, don't worry, it's painless compared to a Windows reinstall.
