I am going to buy a new iMac, I was thinking at the 21,5" but I am having troubles making the decision of which one, the basic or the top...
What do you think?
The 21,5" with intel core i7 at 2,8 Ghz and 8 Gb Sdram (plus the AMD Radeon HD 6770M GDDR5 - 512MB) does worth the price?
Are there great differences between the 6770 and the 6750 on the basic one?
If anoyone can give ma an advice, thanks a lot!

What will you use it for? That determines is the high-end worth it for you. For basic tasks, it is not but if you do something CPU intensive, then it can be.

What you should get depends on what you need he machine or and how long you wish to keep it.

Buy vase RAM from Apple and add 3rd party yourself.

Thanks a lot for your answers! I will use it to write, watch movies and videos, internet, but I would like a desktop which could last long. And, of course, I would like a powerful machine... ;-)
As for Ram: if I don't buy them from Apple, is it easy to add them? Is there place to add 4 Gb or I have to buy 8Gb and replace the Apple ones?
Thanks again!

In that case, just go with the low-end iMac. The faster CPU and GPU will make zero difference for you since your usage cannot take advantage of them.

iMacs have four slots and come with 2x2GB. You can either buy 2x2GB or 1x4GB to bump the RAM to 8GB.

Thank you! Then I will buy the basic 21,5", with 4Gb Ram and add maybe 4Gb later.
Thanks for your advice!

here are your Ram options:
buy Base: 4GB 2x2 (Apple)
buy Base: 4GB 2x2 add 4BG Kit 2x2 = 8GB (OWC) $49.99
buy Base: 4BG 2x2 add 8GB Kit 4x2 = 12GB (OWC) $104.00
buy Base: 4GB base 2x2 remove it add 16GB Kit 4x4 = 16GB (OWC) $207.00

VS
buy Base: 4GB 2x2 (Apple)
buy Upgrade: 8GB 2x4 (Apple) $200.00
buy Upgrade: 16GB 4x4 (Apple) $600.00
