I have the same pictures in two different folders...one folder is the Photo Library and the other is my regular folder I have always synced to the iPhone called Pics & Vids...both folders have the same exact pictures in them. I can't for the life of me figure out how to get rid of Photo Library...If I uninstall Pics & Vids then photo library disappears too.

How do I get rid of one?

Now that I've just enabled iCloud I have another 2 folders with the same photos...one folder is called camera roll and the other is Photo Stream....I would like my photos to erase from camera roll after they upload into the cloud...is there a way to do this also??

Please advise...I don't have much hair left to pull out! :)

1. If you sync folders from a computer, you will always have 2 folders. One being your photo library and the other your synced folder(s). If you synced a second folder, you would then have all your pictures in your library and separately in each synced folder.

2. If the images you've taken have been uploaded to PhotoStream, you can then manually delete them from the camera roll. There isn't currently a way to do this automatically.

I attempted to drag and drop all my synced photos into photo stream so as to only have the camera roll and photo stream...but the photos never showed up on the iPhone....fail me. haha

Photo Library is just a compilation of all the synced folders you have on your iPhone. So it's in two places, big deal. It's not taking up any more space.

Photo Stream = pics taken And shared amongst all your iDevices/Lion computers signed into a single iCloud account.

Camera Roll = pics/vids taken with your iPhone/iPad.

Any other photos or folders on your device are synced from your computer. You cannot automatically delete a pic after its uploaded to icloud. You have to do that manually.

When I was using photo stream, I saw no way of deleting a photo from there, manually or otherwise. The only way to delete it from iCloud was to stop using photostream and I then had the option of deleting all the photos in photostream and I did. Hopefully Apple will give us the option of removing photos from photostream.

Enlighten me if there is another way of deleting photos from photostream. Thanks.

No, there is no way of deleting photos from the photostream. Its not really a synced folder. Its more for when you take photos on your iphone, theyll be available on your other icloud devices. Why do you want to delete them? It only stores your last 1000 photos.

Actually, here you go: http://www.apple.com/icloud/features/photo-stream.html. Read it for yourself to see how it actually works.
